Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) has a vision of an Ireland where people with disabilities enjoy equal rights, choices and opportunities in how they live their lives, and where our country is a model worldwide for a truly inclusive society. We work with, and on behalf of, people with physical disabilities to drive positive change through influencing public policy, providing quality services and enabling accessibility to all aspects of society.

Kilkenny Community Centre is an innovative Q-Mark-approved location. Through our service locations in Kilkenny City, our Community Hubs, in Callan and Thomastown, and 1:1 supports to people in their local community our Kilkenny Service strives to go beyond the Community Centre building and support people to be active participants in their local communities.  We also operate a Rehabilitative Training programme offers QQI accredited training. Our School Leaver Service is designed to promote independence, active participation in the community and develop life skills. The Irish Wheelchair Association in Kilkenny also has an Assisted Living, Supported Living and Holiday Centre based in the Hoban Hotel. We also provide service users with accessible transport, sports, driving school and holiday breaks in Ireland and abroad. We actively engage and integrate into the local community and work with the ETB and other services to provide training and education programmes.
