Kilkenny Business Awards 2023

The Kilkenny Business Awards 2023 were held at the Lyrath Estate Hotel on Saturday 25th November.  Almost 500 representatives of business in Kilkenny gathered together for a glittering evening, celebrating success.

Twenty-three awards were presented during the course of the evening, including the President’s Award which went to Joe & Bill Connolly of Connollys’ Redmills and the Lifetime Achievement Award which went to Jim Brennan, Club House Hotel.  A Special Recognition Award was presented for the first time this year, and it went to Siobhán Talbot, CEO of Glanbia who is retiring in December after 10 years at the helm.

The overall Business of the Year was announced at the end of the evening – MERLYN.  MERLYN is passionate about design and craft, constantly innovating their range of premium showering enclosures, combining timeless elegance and superior quality, down to the very last detail.

The Chamber’s chosen charity for 2023 was the The Samaritans Carlow/Kilkenny, and a donation of €6,000 was collected on Saturday night.

President of the Chamber, Brian Keyes, said ‘It is a special privilege to be recognising the best of Kilkenny businesses. Winning aside, all shortlisted businesses should be proud of their tremendous achievements in getting through the rigorous judging process.’.

The Overall Business of the Year was the winner of the Family Business Award Hi Tec Medicare.  This iwas the second year in a row that the Family Business winner went on to win the Overall Award!
