Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce promotes an on going ‘Shop Local’ campaign for Kilkenny with all of Kilkenny’s Business stakeholders on board.
The ‘Shop Local’ campaign makes so much sense not alone for businesses but indeed for employment and jobs in the local economy too. If you earn your money in the local economy you should also spend it there….it just makes sound sense on many fronts to do so.
Apart from all local businesses backing the initiative so too are the Borough Council, KCLR96FM, Kilkenny People newspaper, Kilkenny Tourism, Kilkenny GAA as well as nine time All Ireland senior hurling medallist Henry Shefflin and RTE’s Ear to the Ground presenter Helen Carroll.
The vehicle that guarantees tat your money is spent in Kilkenny is the Chambers Shopping/Gift Vouchers. Your money can only be spent in Kilkenny when you purchase chamber vouchers and they come in €10, €20 & €50 denominations. The Chamber is pleased to announce that Kilkenny Chamber is to the front of its sister Chambers with the introduction of its ‘online payment’ facility.
