THREE SISTERS 2020 – EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE CANDIDATE
In 2020 Ireland will host its next residency of the European Capital of Culture title. Kilkenny, Waterford & Wexford County Councils have put forward a combined regional bid to host the title under the name Three Sisters 2020.
Winning the title would allow us to develop a year long programme of events & projects for 2020 that demonstrate & promote the region’s cultural, arts, heritage & communities sectors to a national, European & International audience.
To be awarded the ECOC title we must demonstrate that; we want, we need and we can deliver the role of ECOC for Ireland in 2020. The Three Sisters Bid Team will be attending some of the biggest festivals and events across the region between March – July 2016 and WE NEED YOU!
